Launched in March 2023, the Corporate Wellness & YOU program (CWYP) is a joint initiative by the Global Compact Network Tanzania (GCNT) and ImpactAfya Ltd (IAL). It aims to promote employee wellbeing and support organizations in building effective, measurable wellness programs. CWYP provides a platform to raise awareness around key risks and trends around employee wellness, share best practices, and encourage a structured approach to workplace wellness across Tanzania. Through collaboration and knowledge sharing, CWYP is committed to shaping a healthier, more productive workforce.

CWYP has the following key objectives:

    1. Promote Holistic Health & Wellbeing

      • Actively promote the culture and benefits of a wellness lifestyle at 366 degrees which includes regular physical activity, nutrition and a positive mental health approach

      • Support integrative wellness practices like mindfulness, exercise and balanced nutrition.

    2. Encourage Healthy Lifestyle Through Education and Awareness

      • Empower businesses, communities and individuals to embrace healthier choices through education, engagement and advocacy.

      • Offer conferences, workshops and webinars on the importance of mental, physical and emotional health

    3. Support Mental Health Awareness and Interventions

      • Foster inclusive and psychologically safe workplace and community environment where wellbeing is a priority

      • Reduce stigma around mental health through education and awareness programs

    4. Foster a Positive Workplace Culture

      • Empower organizations to prioritize employee well-being for healthier, happier and productive workplaces

      • Elevate workplace wellness through evidence-based programs and measurable outcomes that support long term employee wellbeing and organizational success.

    5. Drive Leadership Engagement in Wellness

      • Engage business leaders, academia and community leaders to create a supportive environment for healthy living.

      • Align wellness with corporate, academic and community values and leadership development

    6. Support Scientific Research and Innovation

      • Support scientific research in the field of wellness to advance knowledge and understanding of healthy lifestyles.

      • Pilot innovative wellness solutions and measure their outcomes.

    7. Measure and Improve Program Effectiveness

      • Track participation, satisfaction and health outcomes through regular assessments and feedback loops.

      • Use data to refine and evolve wellness offerings based on needs
